What It Is

Basic LinkedIn Search uses standard LinkedIn's search functionality to find prospects based on keywords, locations, industries, and other basic filters.

How to Use It

  1. Go to LinkedIn.com (not Sales Navigator)

  2. Use the search bar at the top of LinkedIn

  3. Enter your search criteria using the filters:

    • Keywords: Job titles, skills, companies (e.g., "Marketing Director")

    • Location: City, state, or country

    • Industry: Filter by specific industries

  4. Apply any additional filters LinkedIn offers in the right sidebar after clicking 'All Filters'

  5. Once you're happy with the results, copy the URL from your browser's address bar

6. Go to Lead Finder in Conversifi

7. Select "Basic LinkedIn Search" as your search type

8. Enter a descriptive Search Name

9. Paste the URL into the Search URL field

10. Click "Start Search"

When to Use Basic Search

  • You don't have Sales Navigator

  • You're doing simple, broad searches

  • You're targeting by basic criteria only (job title, location, industry)

Limitations

Basic LinkedIn Search has fewer filtering options than Sales Navigator, so your targeting won't be as precise. It's best for broader prospecting or when you're just getting started.
